BEDA #17: Dicas de Estudo!

PORTUGUÊS | ENGLISH

Ciao! Come stai?

É bem difícil eu me concentrar, especialmente porque bate aquele soninho depois do almoço.

5. Combata a procrastinação.

Comece com algo simples do tipo "Hoje eu vou aprender o verbo to be".

Hahahahaha
Boa sorte nos estudos!
Boo-bye!

Ciao! Come stai? Inspired by the fact that I am back to my study routine, I thought it would be cool to give you some advice on how to study. It will be a simple post if compared to the others, but I hope I am helping someone with this.

1.Find out when you function better. As for me, I work better during the morning and during the night. It’s really hard for me to concentrate during the afternoon, especially after the lunch, because I always feel like taking a nap!

2. Find a quiet and nice place to study, with a flat surface to support your notebooks and stationery in general. Because let’s keep it real, studying on the bed or on the sofa rarely works. It’s more likely of you to fall asleep or get distracted by a random TV show.

3.Organize your notes and materials. Line up your pens, organize your papers and keep your workplace clean and tidy. A messy room can be a great distraction, especially if you are a cleaning craze or if you have OCD (well, who knows? It can happen).

4. Study listening to a calm classic music, like Vivaldi or Beethoven. Maybe it’s not your choice of song to wake up, seduce a hot guy at a party or dance by yourself, but it’s scientifically comproved that classic music can improve your focus and concentration.

5.Fight against your desire to procrastinate. I know, it’s not easy, but it’s not impossible to win! If you feel like stop studying to go play a videogame or watch a video on Youtube, concentrate and keep the focus on. Stipulate a goal for yourself, because as soon as you achieve that goal, you’ll feel fulfilled and will want to keep going.

6. When you choose a goal, do not choose something that is too hard or impossible in the beginning. If you can’t deal with Spanish, don’t promise that you’re going to be fluent in five days. You’ll fail and it will make you feel demotivated. Choose to start with something simple, like learning the basic verbs, for example.

7.When you achieve a goal, give yourself a reward. But don’t exaggerate. There is a difference between giving yourself a reward and spoiling yourself.

8.Study. Even if you follow all the previous steps, they will be useless if you don’t study. Unfortunately (or fortunately for me, since I love studying), the scientists haven’t found a way to make or brain learn instantly and telepathically, so we need to study to retain information.

9. Take small breaks. If you keep studying with no pauses, you’ll feel tired and your brain will stop learning properly. But remember, don’t exaggerate. Don’t even think about studying one hour and taking a two-hour break!

10. Be responsible and believe in yourself. No one can study for you. This is something you have to do by and for yourself. And more importantly: believe in yourself! Stop thinking that you are unable to learn Math or that you are not capable to achieve the higher grades. You are more than capable and no one can say the contrary.

Man, I seriously should work on self-help books hahahahah anyway, good luck to us!
Boo-bye!

BEDA #11: O Desafio de Não Procrastinar

PORTUGUÊS | ENGLISH

Ciao!
Vamos combater a procrastinação!... Mais tarde...
Hahaha brincadeira!
Até mais! Boo-bye!

Ciao!
And here I go again, posting almost at midnight, as always! However, this time, I can assure you that I wasn't procrastinating. As the classes are back and I have the internship, I had to create a routine to follow, because now I don't have all day to study my notes. Even if I study in a paid university, it doesn't mean it's easy to be approved and there are no tears that can make the professors give you the grade you need to pass.
From 5 AM to 8 PM, there is nothing that I can change, because I am already busy going to university and the internship. After that, I need to run against time to do everything I plan.
I arrive home more or less at 8 PM - sometimes earlier, and sometimes later, depending on how is the traffic. When I get home, I prepare my lunch for the next day, have dinner and take a shower. If I don't procrastinate or get distracted, I take from one to two hours to do those stuff. Finally, around 10 PM, I plan to study my notes, until 11 PM or midnight, depending on how much I need to study.
To be honest, I don't like routines. I think it sucks and, if I could, I would get my backpack and live a new adventure everyday. Buuuut, while I don't become Lara Croft, I need to follow this shit.
I know it wasn't the coolest post in the world, but I hope I can help someone to be more organized! Let's fight against procrastination!... Later...
Hahaha just kidding!
Boo-bye! x
